Stephen Michael Holt is an unaired suspected predator involved in the Flagler Beach, Florida edition of To Catch a Predator. He is most notable for almost being caught in the Greenville, Ohio sting, which, hadn't he been too young to meet the illegal meeting requirements, would've made him the youngest man caught at eighteen years old.

Stephen Holt was almost caught in the Greenville, Ohio sting, investigation in March of 2006. Although he was eighteen at the time, he was not approved to be busted in Ohio because he was still in high school and did not meet the age-spread requirements between him and the decoy. In December 2006, he started an online conversation with a decoy pretending to be a thirteen-year-old girl.[1] Stephen inquired as to the type of underwear she was wearing, promised to teach her various sex practices, sent pictures of his genitals, and vowed to take her virginity. He told the decoy that since they would be having sex, she should only inform her closest friends since it was very illegal.

Stephen drove several hours to the Flagler Beach sting house. Stephen can also be seen walking into the sting house. of meeting a real child, he was greeted by Chris Hansen. Despite the fact that his interview was never broadcasted, Perverted Justice said Stephen laughed when Chris inquired about the genitalia pictures he had sent to someone he thought was a child.[1]

Stephen was read his Miranda's rights. During his police questioning, Stephen admitted he was arrested for shoplifting when he was around six years old. Detective Liz Williams asked what his plan was when he met the girl. Like the majority of child sex predators, Stephen insisted he would merely watch movies with her rather than engage in sexual activity. When Williams questioned if the decoy wanted to have sex with him, Stephen asserts he probably would have.
Aftermath[]
First, Stephen pleaded Nolo Contendere to the charges leveled against him. Later, he made an effort to fight it. He pursued his case in higher courts. His attorney attempted to have the evidence against him dismissed on the grounds that he was unaware that he was conversing with a fictional thirteen-year-old, that the chat log was being recorded, and that the fictitious thirteen-year-old was not present in Flagler Beach during some of the conversation.[1] He was unsuccessful in his arguments. Stephen ultimately received a two-year prison term, probation, and lifetime registration as a sex offender.[1][2] He now lives in Nebraska and is a registered sex offender there.[3]
