"i would make love to u for hours"

- Safraz flirting with the decoy over chat.

Safraz Khan is a potential predator involved in the Flagler Beach, Florida investigation of To Catch a Predator. He is mostly infamous for showing up alongside Yazan Asfour, aka slave2mistresses, as well as his admittance of being addicted to talking to minors over the internet.

Biography[]

Safraz Khan, a twenty-five-year-old psychology student who came from Guyana when he was ten, started chatting with who he believed to be a thirteen-year-old girl named "Kiana". He then started to talk about sex, mentioning how big his penis is and the things they could do together. Later, he became worried as he says "I'm kinda afraid to see u" and "I could go to jail". The chat continues for three weeks, during which time Khan sends a nude photo of himself and promises to bring "lots of condoms".

Khan arrives at the trap house where he is met by the decoy. He then suspects as the girl he was talking to on the phone doesn't sound like the girl he met, which brings out Chris Hansen, who has him sit at the bar. Khan immediately starts to apologize for his actions. Hansen only has a short time to grill him individually as another potential predator, Yazan Asfour, pulls up and walks into the house, setting a precedent for TCaP. Chris has Asfour sit next to Safraz as he starts to grill him as well. As Asfour fumbles over his words, Khan lets him know that they would probably be arrested after this confrontation. As Asfour continues to act confused and distraught, Khan then becomes scared worrying that his family will know about this, wants to make things right, and says it's a weakness he has. Hansen then reveals that he is part of a sting, which Safraz had already surmised. Khan apologises one more time before he walks outside and is apprehended just outside the door. Asfour soon joins him as they are both taken away together.

In his interrogation he confesses that he has had sexual chats with underage girls before, starting with when he was twenty, with him also saying it's a weakness. He also admitted to sending nude photographs of himself to "probably all of them."[1]

Khan would be convicted on March 11, 2008, of three felonies: Using the Internet to Solicit a Child For Sex, Lewd and Lascivious Battery Sex With a Victim 12 - 15 Years Old, and Sending Harmful Information. He would receive a prison sentence of fifteen months (or one year and three months), five years probation, and lifetime registrationn as a sex offender .[2]

Trivia/Post-Predator Activities[]

  • Khan, who was a permanent resident of the U.S., would be detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in 2011 on charges related to his 2008 conviction and was detained for three years in a holding facility while deportation hearings were held and Khan made appeals. He would later be deported back to Guyana in 2015.[3] Despite this, he is still listed on the state sex offender registry in Florida.
  • His family still lives in the U.S. and Canada. Said family has supposedly disowned Khan, leaving him to fend for himself in Guyana.
  • Khan claims that when he was sixteen, he was sexually assaulted by a man while returning home from the library.
  • He was only nine credits away from obtaining his Psychology degree.
  • Prior to his conviction he was a student at UCF and worked at a Publix.
  • Hansen would again confront two predators arriving within minutes of each other in Ocean County, New Jersey when he confronts Jeremy Keister and Michael Murray comes in shortly after.
  • Khan's bizarre chat log displayed some symptoms of him not being a fully matured adult, namely the insecure offence taken by the decoy stating he didn't look young enough to pass for seventeen or eighteen. Although this doesn't excuse his crimes, it may explain why he had a compulsion to speak with minors.
