" That would be the cleanest, best pleasure."
- Cody Green, on his perception of sex with a thirteen-year-old girl.
Cody Michael Green is a predator that was involved in the Fortson, Georgia investigation of To Catch a Predator. His appearance ended up being a stand-out due to his blunt honesty about the situation, as well as his wannabe gangster demeanour despite living in a wealthy part of Georgia.
Biography[]
Before being caught in the sting, Cody Green was already on probation for DUI and fleeing the scene of an accident. Cody was twenty when he started chatting with "Maddie," a girl he believed to be thirteen. He started chatting with the decoy about being a hood-born hustler from the mean streets when he lived in Alpharetta, an affluent suburb of Atlanta. When finding out the girl was a virgin, he got excited about it and wanted to take her virginity. Cody declares that he desires to lick the girl and ejaculate in her mouth. A few days later, he expressed interest in the decoy performing oral sex on him and stated it was his fantasy. At one point in the chat, Cody even shows the decoy his bare buttocks, revealing a large rash on his behind. He explained that he didn't want the decoy to be grossed out by it when they met, so he figured he would show her beforehand.
Before meeting her, Cody confessed he needed to see his parole officer for being involved in a car accident. He promised to stay the night and maintain a close eye on her. Cody mentioned he was interested in utilizing vibrators or dildos throughout their sexual encounter. Then, he enquired whether she had shaved her legs and wished to be her boyfriend. Cody subsequently becomes worried, saying he fears it was all a setup and does not want to go to jail. His sexually graphic chat continued for days before the two set up a meeting. He also sent eight different pics of his genitals for good measure.
Sting[]
Cody appeared in a Cadillac Escalade EXT at the Sting House while sporting all-white basketball attire. He immediately rushed towards the decoy and asked if they could go upstairs as he walked up to the house. When the decoy disappeared behind the curtain, Cody followed her and was met by Chris Hansen rather than a real child. Cody tried to tell Chris he had made a deal with the girl before being told to sit down, making the claim he had driven to the house "for no reason" and claimed he had questioned the decoy if she was sure that she wanted sex. He told Chris he would prove it to him before professing to be "a desperate person" who needed a girl in his life. Cody said he would have been okay with her wanting to be friends if that was all she wanted, that he hadn't done such a thing before, and he wouldn't have hurt her in any way. When Chris asked if Cody had ever chatted online with underage girls before, however, Cody admitted he had, although it had never worked out because he never really wanted it to. He denied ever meeting them before claiming that he only came to meet "Maddie" because he wanted to protect her.

Cody's interview with Chris
Cody acknowledged that he brought condoms and white chocolate to the house because the decoy had asked to get them. Cody continued to blame the decoy when confronted with the nude photos he had provided, insisting she had requested to see them. Cody then acknowledged the girl was thirteen and that he was twenty when asked. Chris reiterates the girl is thirteen, to which Cody apologises and explains he has an interest in younger girls because it is a fantasy of his he has always wanted to fulfil. When Cody was forced to acknowledge the nude photographs he had sent to a thirteen-year-old girl, he tried to blame the decoy before both he and Chris both acknowledged there was a fine line between sending a picture of oneself and naked pictures of oneself.
When Chris reads out an excerpt where Cody asks if the decoy wants her virginity taken, Cody says he "knows it's not respectful" but claims that he was "just asking her" if she would like that. He then denies (despite admitting it moments earlier) that he is specifically targeting young girls, as well as claiming he told "Maddie" that it was illegal and asked her to swear she wouldn't get him in trouble. After Chris reads, "Are ready to have my thang in your mouth?" from the chatlog, Cody confirms he was talking about oral sex since the girl was "going with it." Cody also admits that if the girl agreed, he would have sex with her. Cody admits he "probably" would've gone through with it if the girl wanted to because he can't meet any girls his own age. Chris points out that Cody had a nice car and was dressed nicely and asks why he couldn't find any girls his age. Cody asserted that he couldn't and that girls expected more from their male partners, such as what was inside of them.
Despite admitting that he knows it's not normal to have sex with minors, he goes on to state that having sex with a thirteen-year-old would be the "cleanest, best pleasure." When Cody asks Chris if he is the girl's father and tries asking if he will be in trouble for the incident, Chris questions Cody about the mention of his P.O. (parole officer) in the chat. Cody admits he is on probation for a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) conviction, as well as receiving an additional hit and run charge "the other day." Perhaps feeling overwhelmed by the sudden questioning of his past legal troubles, Cody decides the interview is over and tries to exit. He is stopped by Chris, who identifies himself. He is formally exposed on national television as the cameras come out. Cody thanks Chris for "wasting [his] gas" and exits the residence. The police run out to arrest Cody, who raises his arms but is tackled to the ground for refusing to get down by his own will. Cody repeatedly flips off the cameramen while being arrested, searched and booked at the police station.
Aftermath[]
After making bail, a month later on August 6, 2007, Cody was taken into custody in Alpharetta, Georgia, after exposing himself to an eight-year-old girl at a swimming pool.[1][2] He put his fingers to his mouth to shush the little girl from telling anyone.[1] Cody spent over three years in custody. He was being detained, according to a jail spokeswoman, because of charges in Harris County.[1]
Cody's attorney, BJ Bernstein, stated Cody endured a traumatic brain injury in a car accident when he was sixteen and "has never been the same since."[1][2] Al Whitaker, chief assistant district attorney, claimed that despite Cody having undergone several psychological tests and having physical evidence of a head injury caused by an automobile accident, he was found to be competent to stand trial by West Central Georgia Regional Hospital's medical staff.[2] Bernstein then requested a forensic analysis.[2] According to Bernstein, the review refuted the findings of the West Central report and said that a thorough neurological test was not part of the initial examination.[2] After a six-hour hearing, Muscogee County Superior Court Judge Frank Jordan Jr. determined Cody was competent to stand trial and was competent when he arrived at the sting house in July 2006.[2] For his graphic chat and showing up to the sting house in February 2010, Cody was found guilty of a criminal attempt to commit child molestation, a criminal attempt to commit sodomy, and a criminal attempt to commit statutory rape.[2] Judge Frank Jordan Jr. sentenced Cody to three years in prison, twelve years of probation, and lifetime registration as a sex offender.[2][3] He also ordered that Cody wear an ankle monitor and live with his parents after completing his sentence.[1][2] Cody was paroled and released from prison on September 23, 2010.[3]
In October 2010, Cody was convicted in Forsyth County Superior Court on one felony count of child molestation after being found guilty of exposing himself to a child.[1] Cody asserted once more that his brain injury was what led to exposing himself to the young child.[1] Although Cody seemed to function normally and was mentally competent to stand trial, Bernstein said his injury had an impact on his mental filters.[2] She claimed that his injury was comparable to that sustained by military personnel as a result of improvised explosive devices.[2] Sandy Partridge, the chief assistant district attorney for Forsyth County, said she didn't buy his claim that his attraction to kids is a result of his brain injury.[1] Partridge argued that the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, which was commonly utilized by the psychiatric establishment for diagnosis, did not include Cody's condition.[1] Cody broke down in tears as he described what had occurred and mentioned that he had recently converted to Christianity and was now a "newly crowned servant."[1] Judge Jeffrey S. Bagley sentenced Cody to an additional nine months in prison and 16 years of probation.[1] Cody was placed back in jail in February 2011 on the Forsyth County charge and was later released in August 2011.[3] Cody is listed on the Georgia Sex Offender Registry as a "Sexually Dangerous Predator," meaning he is considered to have a strong possibility of committing another offense.[4]
2021 Update[]
In 2021, according to Chris in a Predators I've Caught' Podcast, while the decoys were talking to potential predators, including Cody Green, the chatrooms were knocked out for a couple of days due to a massive fire in the West Coast, specifically in Silicone Valley, California. The conversation between Cody and the decoy was delayed by three days. Chris also acknowledges Cody giving the middle finger to one of the cameramen. Chris then explains that Cody could afford an attorney in his Fortson, Georgia case because his affluent parents helped him pay for one. Chris also makes it clear that before exposing himself to the girl at the public pool, Cody initially pleaded not guilty. His lawyer argued that Cody was young and this was a first-time thing since Cody had no prior sex crimes (despite his uncut interview suggesting it wasn't his first time talking to underage children).
Chris mentions more details about what happened with Cody regarding the pool incident and explains how he put his finger to his mouth while he was exposing himself to the girl, signalling for her to be quiet. Chris also mentions how the whole defence the lawyer initially had (the one-time argument) was invalidated, which is why his lawyer changed it to the head injury defence. By the time of the podcast, Cody had not reoffended, but Chris also mentions that it may be because he was on house arrest and living with his parents.
2024 Update[]

June 2024 Mugshot
In March of 2024, Cody was arrested again for charges relating to battery and shoplifting. According to Joey and To Catch a Peanut, as of 2025, he has been convicted and is currently incarcerated. Since these crimes also violated the terms of his probation, he most likely received extra time.
Trivia[]
- Although his actual uncut interview is mostly lost, an excerpt sourced from the dead MSNBC subscription service containing his entrance and exiting from the house can be found on YouTube. This footage has been spliced with his televised and Predator Raw segments to create an almost complete uncut Hansen interview, although some of the footage may be out of order while an unknown amount remains lost.
- While his 2024 crimes are not sex related, Cody has continued a trend of Georgia predators reoffending and winding up back in jail within a relatively short timeframe. The ones before him are James Klein (false imprisonment of a minor), William Rowell (unemployment and sexting women on social media), Denis Coulson (reckless driving and driving under the influence), and John Adam Daniels (possession of child sexual abuse material).
